Thomas Cook and Brussels Airlines intensify strategic partnership

Thomas Cook and Brussels Airlines expand their strategic cooperation. This year, both companies will operate even more holiday flights together (824 flights, +26%). Tens of thousands of Thomas Cook clients will also make use of Brussels Airlines’ scheduled flight offer to popular holiday destinations.

Brussels Airlines and Thomas Cook have been cooperating since 2002, but this year the partnership will have an even more strategic character. “Next to our own aircraft fleet, Thomas Cook will use Brussels Airlines more than ever to get travelers to holiday destinations in the Mediterranean”, says Jan Dekeyser, Chief Commercial Officer at Thomas Cook. “Last year, Brussels Airlines already operated 654 flights for Thomas Cook; this year that amount will increase to 824. Next to these chartered flights, we have also decided to book seats for our clients on several scheduled Brussels Airlines flights.  Thanks to this cooperation, Thomas Cook clients have a choice between more flight days, making their travel plans more flexible.” Brussels Airlines will launch Ibiza this summer as an eleventh new destination in 2015, with the support of Thomas Cook.

The Brussels Airlines / Thomas Cook partnership is successful because both companies share the same values: Quality, innovation, reliability, attractive fares, large choice, a personal service and a 100 percent Belgian product are key. Thomas Cook, Neckermann and Pegase clients receive a service on board Brussels Airlines flights, which has been created in collaboration with Thomas Cook.

“Everyone who plans his or her well-deserved vacation is looking for attractive fares and a quality offer by reliable service providers”, says Brussels Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Lars Redeligx. “That is why  more and more travelers choose Brussels Airlines and Thomas Cook. With Catania, Seville, Alicante, Barcelona, Faro, Malaga, Lourdes, Olbia, Naples and Palermo, among others, in its portfolio, Brussels Airlines offers many destinations highly sought-after by Thomas Cook clients. This partnership is a perfect match, as it allows us to offer even more holiday destinations to the Belgian market on the one hand, and to innovate with new attractive travel products on the other hand, like our b.family product.”
