Brussels Airlines lands under the Christmas tree

The airline offers flight vouchers to 15 European destinations at €89

Brussels Airlines puts a unique gift under the Christmas tree this year: until 31 December a gift voucher is available online for € 89, valid for a round trip flight to a European destination. More than 4000 vouchers have already been sold in one week.

With b.gift Brussels Airlines wants to offer a popular and attractive holiday gift idea. The voucher can be purchased via christmas.brusselsairlines.com and the receiver can exchange it for a round trip in b.light economy to one of the 15 selected destinations: Alicante, Barcelona, Bilbao, Bologna, Geneva, Gothenburg, Lisbon, Madrid, Malaga, Oslo, Porto, Rome, Stockholm, Turin and Venice. The vouchers, which are available for 1 to 3 people, have a validity until 15 june 2014.

The price of b.gift, 89 euro per person, illustrates that Brussels Airlines offers very competitive rates. This ticket price is ‘all in’,” explains Brussels Airlines CCO Lars Redeligx. “When you exchange the voucher, there are no extra fees to be paid, because all taxes, fees and one piece of luggage of 23kg are included.” So no hidden extra costs or unpleasant surprises. Every b.gift passenger also receives a free mobile postcard to send home from the destination they travel to, thanks to a collaboration with bpost.

The b.gift Christmas voucher, which is available online until 31 December, has already inspired more than 4000 people in search of an original Christmas present over the last 10 days.

Brussels Airlines is totally immersed in the Christmas spirit during the festive period. Like every year, all aircraft cabins don Christmas wreaths and decorations and on Christmas eve and Christmas Day, as well as on New Year’s eve, festive meals are served on board. During the entire holiday period Brussels Airlines will bring 235,200 passengers home for Christmas or to their families abroad. The most popular destinations are Tel Aviv, New York, Barcelona and Dakar.

During the Christmas holidays passengers can also support Brussels Airlines’ charity initiatives by buying Christmas hats. For art lovers the airline launched the “A Shot For Charity” campaign, which offers stunning artworks of top photographers like Lieve Blancquaert and Tim Dirven. The photos can be purchased on the website of MTwalls.be until 24 December. All proceeds go to Medics Without Vacation, Doctors Without Borders, Ex-Change and Memisa.
