Brussels Airlines announces the opening of the Brussels-Ljubljana line

Starting 19 November, Brussels Airlines will offer a new direct service between the European Capital and Slovenia. Flying to and from Ljubljana Brussels Airlines will link the two capitals 6 times a week. In this way Brussels Airlines opens the welcome to Slovenia’s EU presidency starting in January 2008.

The Republic of Slovenia has been an EU member since May 2004 and will be the first of the recent Member States to host the EU Presidency. The country is enjoying a prosperous economic development, and its economic levels are on line with the EU convergence levels, it in fact recently introduced the euro. This is a great boom to the country as well as to the tourism industry and Ljubljana airport.
