Discover the behind the scenes of Brussels Airlines thanks to "Bienvenue à Bord" as from February 6 on RTL

From flights to sub-Saharan Africa to life in the hangar: discover what goes on behind the scenes at Belgium's national airline

Brussels, January 30, 2026 - Starting February 6, tune in to RTL for Bienvenue à Bord, a reality show offering an exclusive look at the daily operations of Brussels Airlines. Camera crews were granted extensive access to Belgium’s national airline and followed colleagues from the airport to the maintenance hangar and high up in the air. With this program, Brussels Airlines aims to inspire people to consider a career in aviation.

Preparing to get back at work as a Purser after an 18-month maternity break, managing the temporary loss of GPS-signals in the cockpit, or handling a very busy boarding for a flight to Lomé and Accra: viewers will discover all this and much more soon in Brussels Airlines’ own reality show.

From February 6, Brussels Airlines and RTL will show what really happens behind the scenes at the airline. Over several months, production company Geronimo Entertainment followed Dorian, Sabrina, Aurélie, Marc, Elisabeth, Seynebou and many more Brussels Airlines’ employees on the ground and in the air. The six-episode series will air every Friday evening at 7.50pm on RTL and will also be available on RTLplay.

“Working for an airline continues to spark the imagination. At the same time, many people still don’t realize everything that needs to happen for an aircraft to take off and bring our passengers to their holiday destination, a business meeting, or reunite them with loved ones. There are countless links in the chain, and every single one is crucial. We are proud to once again showcase portraits of passionate colleagues who go above and beyond - through good times and challenging moments - to make a real difference.”
- Wencke Lemmes, Head of Customer Experience, Product & Marketing, Brussels Airlines
For years, the aviation sector and airlines have evoked images of freedom, discovery, happiness and an escape from the daily routine, but also of reunions and moments that truly matter. So when the Bienvenue à Bord project was presented to us, we immediately came on board and began discussions to adapt the format for the French‑speaking audience, ensuring it aligned with our identity and integrated naturally into our programming. We quickly discovered a shared DNA between our values, our needs and those of Brussels Airlines. What we wanted to highlight were, first and foremost, the local heroes who are so dear to us, as well as strong stories that captivate, connect, raise questions and move people.”
- Laurent Toussaint, Unscripted Manager en charge des divertissements et de l’infotainment, RTL Belgique

In Bienveune à Bord, viewers get an inside look at the everyday work of ground staff, aircraft technicians, cabin crew and pilots. With the series, Brussels Airlines wants to spark interest in aviation careers. Anyone eager to explore opportunities can find more information on the Brussels Airlines job site.
