Thanks to its partnership with Lufthansa, Brussels Airlines adds Libreville (Gabon) to its network

Starting from the 15th of July, Brussels Airlines offers five weekly flights to Libreville, Gabon operated by partner Lufthansa and commercialized by both Lufthansa and Brussels Airlines. In the meanwhile Lufthansa will sell seats on the Brussels Airlines flights to Entebbe (Uganda). In the future, Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa are planning to offer more flights to Africa together.

Gabon 

As from the 15th of July customers of Brussels Airlines can travel to the capital of Gabon. via Lufthansa’s hub in Frankfurt. Schedules for the flight between Brussels and Frankfurt offer excellent connections with the longhaul flight to Gabon, allowing passengers from Belgium can travel to this central African country in a time-efficient manner. The return flight with departure in the evening in Libreville also allows passengers easy connections to Brussels in the morning. 

On the longhaul route passengers have the choice between First, Business and Economy Class. Gabon is an important business partner for Belgium. The country, rich in oil and minerals, is well known for wood exports and has enjoyed long-term commercial relations with Belgium. However, there have been no flights to Libreville from Brussels since 2001. 

Uganda 

Lufthansa passengers can now fly to Entebbe (Uganda) via Brussels. Until now, Entebbe was a missing link in the Lufthansa network. But thanks to a codeshare collaboration with Brussels Airlines this will now change. Brussels Airlines flies to Uganda four times a week. The flights can now be booked with on both a Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa code. 

Lufthansa & Brussels Airlines: Africa cooperation 

Brussels Airlines and Lufthansa intend to further increase their collaboration in the African market. In the following months both airlines will establish codeshare agreement on a range of to African destinations. Thanks to this collaboration, passengers of Brussels Airlines will be able to travel to more African destinations, while members of Miles & More and Privilege may collect and spend miles on all flights.
